Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Business Development Representative to assist our sales team in managing leads, tracking deals, and ensuring a smooth sales process from initial contact to closing. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team by managing the sales pipeline, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring client needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. 

Your Primary objective is to: Actively prospect for new business opportunities. This includes reaching out to potential clients via calls, attending conferences and industry events, establishing relationships with prospects, and scheduling preliminary meetings with our cybersecurity consultants to discuss potential solutions. Support the account management team in responding to and managing new leads, tracking deals through the sales pipeline, and ensuring timely updates for every deal. Follow documented sales processes from initial contact to closing. 

Your Secondary objective is to: Deeply understand StickmanCyber our products and services, the key people in the business, and cybersecurity terminologies. Research and understand our customers, their business and pain points that we solve for them and how we can help them be secure and compliant. 

 

Responsibilities

Prospecting: 
  • Reaching Out to Potential Clients via Calls
  • Conduct cold and warm calls to qualify leads and introduce cybersecurity solutions. 
  • Follow up regularly to nurture leads and update CRM records.
  • Meet or exceed call targets for new business opportunities. 
Attending Conferences and Industry Events: 
  • Represent the company to network with potential clients and industry contacts. 
  • Collect insights on industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Follow up with contacts to schedule meetings and discuss services. 
Establishing Relationships with Prospects: 
  • Build rapport with potential clients by understanding their business needs. 
  • Maintain regular communication and provide relevant information. 
  • Tailor conversations to highlight solutions that address client challenges. 
Scheduling Preliminary Meetings with Cybersecurity Consultants:  
  • Qualify leads and coordinate meetings with consultants. 
  • Provide consultants with relevant background on the prospect. 
  • Track meeting outcomes and ensure follow-up actions to advance sales. 
Lead Management: 
  • Field and respond to incoming phone and email leads.
  • Proactively reach out to new leads via phone, email, or website inquiries to schedule meetings. 
Sales Pipeline Management: 
  • Create and manage deals in the sales pipeline, tracking all stages of the sales lifecycle. 
  • Maintain accurate records of meetings, emails, and calls, ensuring all client interactions are logged. 
  • Prepare and send follow-up emails after meetings, providing relevant resources and outlining next steps. 
Client Meetings & Support: 
  • Attend meetings with new leads alongside the sales team to provide support and assist with follow-ups. Track and follow up on deals post initial pitch and proposal meetings, seeking updates on next steps and client decisions. 
Deal Coordination & Internal Communication: 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage client requests, such as scope changes or additional services post-meeting. 
  • Generate HubSpot quotes once a client decision is made and send them to the client for approval and signature. 
  • Ensure smooth handover of information by updating necessary fields and properties when deals are closed. 
Reporting & Administration: 
  • Assist in preparing monthly management slides and provide reports on CRM activities, including pipeline status and key sales metrics. 
  • Assist the sales team with ad-hoc tasks to ensure the smooth progression of deals through the sales process.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred). 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proactive, resourceful, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Proven experience in sales support, customer service, or administrative roles. 
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, preferably HubSpot. 

 

Preferred Skills

  • Communication Skills:  Clear and concise communication is essential, both in writing (emails, reports) and verbally (phone calls, meetings). 
  • You must effectively convey information between the sales team, clients, and internal departments. 
  • Active Listening:  Paying close attention to client needs and feedback ensures that you can tailor solutions, follow up appropriately, and support the sales team more effectively. 
  • Organizational Skills: Managing multiple leads, deals, and client follow-ups requires strong organizational abilities to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks. 
  • Time Management: Prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and balancing competing priorities are key to keeping deals moving smoothly through the pipeline. 
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to think on your feet, troubleshoot issues, and find creative solutions to client requests or internal challenges is critical. 
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in logging meetings, calls, and emails, as well as creating quotes, ensures that information is correctly captured and helps prevent mistakes that could delay deals. 
  • Adaptability: Sales processes and client needs can change quickly. 
  • Being flexible and able to adapt to new situations or changing client requirements is important. 
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with the sales team, internal departments, and clients requires good teamwork and the ability to collaborate across functions. 
  • Customer-Centric Attitude: Having a proactive, service-oriented approach helps ensure that client needs are met and fosters positive relationships. 
  • Emotional Intelligence: Understanding and managing emotions—both your own and those of clients or team members—helps in navigating negotiations and handling high-pressure situations calmly.
